Actress Lindsay Lohan is getting over her wild ways and focusing on her movie career, thanks to girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

The 21-year-old star is now dedicated to bring her acting career back on track. According to a friend, the ‘Freaky Friday’ star has turned into a new woman and is also showing up on time for shooting of her new movie ‘Labor Pains’

"She's showing up early for call time [on her new flick, 'Labor Pains'], she knows her lines and her co-workers actually like her. She's a total pro now." New York Post quoted a friend, as saying.

The friend credits Lohan’s girlfriend, Samantha Ronson who “has a calming effect on her."

The two superstars of Indian cinema may well term it a coincidence that their international tours are coinciding.

But the fact remains that both Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan are now working on charming the foreign audience at the same time through their world tours.

And SRK has won the first round with his Amsterdam show recently. Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Ganesh Hegde and Anusha Dandekar were a part of the show.

Reveals its organiser Mohammad Morani, “The show was a sell out. The interesting bit was that there were very few Indians in the crowd and the majority comprised Europeans. Mostly they were people from Holland and Germany.”

SRK will next hold a show in Germany in October. “We will move on to Germany in October and the star cast will remain the same. If dates permit, some more stars might be added,” Morani adds. Sources, however, say that Anusha Dandekar will not be a part of the October show.

And what about the face-off with the Bachchans and their tour venues clashing later this year? “Nothing of this sort is happening as we are still juggling the dates of the stars. We are focussing on our tour and Shah Rukh is quite clear that he wants to take the world by storm with his tour, which will go on till the next year.”

Maureen Wadia, Ness Wadia’s mother, may have once said reportedly about her son’s choice of partner, “I don’t care if Ness marries Preity or a zebra,” but PZ has no worry when it comes to Ness’ grandmother, Dina Wadia. Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s daughter Dina has been in Mumbai for a while now. Among the lucky few who can get to meet her is Preity.


Preity says that every time she meets Dina Wadia, she comes away floored. Says Preity, “The first time I met her, I stared at her open mouthed. My goodness, she carries so much history within her! Since then we’ve met over dinner and at other social occasions several times. Each time I’m struck by her gentle demeanour, her classic elegance, and yes, her fragility.”

While speaking about one of her favourite women, Preity’s voice lights up. She continues, “I was also struck by her unmistakable facial resemblance to her illustrious father (Jinnah). I’ve never seen two people who resemble each other so closely.”

Preity says she has met Dina Wadia both in Mumbai and abroad. “She lives in New York. But she visits Mumbai where she has close family. She carries an aura of unmistakable strength. Every time I meet her, there’s so much to imbibe from her. There are some people in this world who just carry an aura about them.

She’s one of them.” The last time when they met, Dina wanted to know about Preity’s IPL matches. “She takes a lot of interest in my life. The last time we met, she wanted to know all about the IPL matches. She’s so important to our times as a woman and a figure in history and yet conveys so much joie de vivre in her attitude. I just want to sit with her and listen to her.”
